Dating from 1870 and listed on the National Historic Register, Roebling Inn is in the Upper Delaware River Valley. It is a Poconos bed and breakfast that everyone will enjoy.

This beautiful guest common area has a selection of games and books, many about the Delaware River area and its history.

Completed by John Roebling in 1848, the Roebling Delaware Aqueduct served the Delaware & Hudson Canal Company for 50 years to allow canal boats to cross the Delaware above the actual river itself. This eliminated collisions with enormous log rafts which were navigating the river. It is the oldest suspension bridge in the USA.

The Upper Delaware River Valley has dozens of breeding bald eagles that thrive here year-round, building nests and raising young, so it is fairly common to see the mature birds (white head and tail) or immature eagles at any time of year. They come and go from favorite perches, but it is often an unexpected sighting that is the most thrilling, like when you are paddling down the river in July.

Queen Riverview with Fireplace - Corner rooms (two available) facing the river are restful and romantic. Wake up to a view of the water, misty some days and sparkling like diamonds on others. High ceilings, plaster walls, original woodwork, lace curtains, gas log fireplace, ceiling fan, crown molding and excellent mattress.

The Lackawaxen River is stocked with thousands of trout annually. In addition, local businessmen have added 100 monster trout to the river, each fish weighing 5-10 pounds. The beauty of the Lackawaxen River is extraordinary.

To have the river to yourself . . .The Upper Delaware River is the border between New York Catskills and Pennsylvania Poconos. It is the road less traveled for both areas and receives only a fraction of visitors to the Stroudsburg area. The Upper Delaware River is pristine and beautiful.

A Monster Trout from the Lackawaxen River. The Lackawaxen Monster Trout Derby is a dream-come-true for trout fishermen. It begins on opening day in April and continues through the fall season. Last year, not all 100 were caught.

PA Fish and Wildlife maintains a public boat ramp and access area within walking distance of our inn. It is at the confluence of the Delaware and Lackawaxen Rivers. A popular river trip is from Ten Mile River to the Lackawaxen access. A longer trip is from Narrowsburg NY access to Lackawaxen access.

Queen Riverview with Fireplace is perfect for a romantic getaway in the Poconos. Delightfully comfortable and restful.
